A Visit to a Professional School

A lot of people in our town know that American citizens live here. For a short period of time Steven LeMelle and Timothy Trujillo have visited many organizations.  It is obvious because people want to talk with the foreigners, ask them about the life abroad.  On the 13th of March Steven, Timothy and his wife went to meet the students of a professional school #128.  First they told the kids several words about themselves and then kids started to ask questions.  You could tell that the students were concerned about the future of their country.  They asked about the safety of the project, the influence of the dismantlement on the environment in Kartaly.  They also wondered if such dismantlement is being done in the USA.  Steven and Tim said that there is nothing to worry about.  They explained that it is necessary to keep the peace in the world and added that the States has the same project now.  The kids found out that the teenagers in the States like to listen to music, go to disco and are fond of computers.  The students wanted to know what professions are the most prestigious.  The guests told them that doctors, lawyers and programmers are the highest paying jobs in the States.  The boys were interested in the American Army Service.  They were surprised to know that unlike in Russia the Army service is not obligatory there.  When the meeting was over the kids started to applaud.  After that the principle of the school, Nina Bogdanovskay,  showed Steven and Timothy classrooms, a teacher’s room, a gym and a canteen.  Then the guests were invited to the principle’s office to try the dishes that the students cooked for them.

Steven and Timothy said that they want to keep friendly relations with the school and hope that the relations between our countries will be also good.  Their impression from the students was great.
